Our Parish

St. Peter, Seal of the Martyrs

Our parish is named after St. Peter Seal of the Martyrs, the 17th Pope of Alexandria, martyred in 311 AD — the last great pope of the age of persecution, whose faithfulness unto death remains the spirit we carry as a community. Founded on January 3, 2010 under the auspices of then-Bishop Metropolitan Abba Youssef and the Coptic Orthodox Diocese of the Southern United States, we are a parish rooted in that same ancient faith, continuing the tradition Saint Peter embodied.

We are honored to be one of only two Coptic Orthodox churches in the world bearing the name of Saint Peter Seal of the Martyrs.

Our Story

From West Palm Beach to Today

St. Peter Seal of the Martyrs Coptic Orthodox Church was founded on January 3, 2010, under the auspices of then-Bishop Metropolitan Abba Youssef and the Coptic Orthodox Diocese of the Southern United States. It was Bishop Youssef himself who chose the name of our church — St. Peter Seal of the Martyrs — a name that carries with it the weight of martyrdom, the glory of faithfulness, and the honor of bearing the saint's relics within our walls.

What began as a small gathering of Coptic faithful in West Palm Beach has grown into a vibrant, multigenerational community rooted in ancient faith and reaching into the future. Our mission is simple and total: "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit" (Matthew 28:19).

We are part of the Coptic Orthodox Diocese of the Southern United States, under the leadership of His Eminence Metropolitan Youssef. Our community serves the greater Palm Beach area, welcoming all who seek Christ — regardless of background, nationality, or where they are in their journey of faith.

Our Community

Ministries for Every Generation

We are a warm, multigenerational Coptic community with active ministries for every age and stage of life. Our Sunday School gathers children from Pre-K through high school every Saturday evening, nurturing the next generation in the ancient faith. Our youth ministry — The Logos — meets weekly for young adults, grounding them in Scripture and the life of the Church. The Anaphora School of Hymns preserves the ancient Coptic musical tradition. Boy Scouts and Venture Scouts serve our young people through character, leadership, and service.

We worship in English, Arabic, and Coptic — three languages that reflect our heritage and our calling to serve a diverse community. Whether you were born into this faith or are encountering it for the first time, you will find a home here.
