The Priesthood in the Coptic Church
An Icon of the Good Shepherd
In the Coptic Orthodox tradition, the priest carries a sacred trust: to offer the Divine Liturgy, administer the sacraments, and guide God's people on the way of salvation. He is not elevated for his own sake, but stands as a minister of Christ's eternal priesthood within the Church.
The title "Abouna" — "our father" — by which Coptic priests are addressed reflects this truth: he is a spiritual father, raising his children in the faith as the holy fathers before him did through the ages.

Parish Priest
Fr. Tadros Hirmina is the priest for St. Peter, the Seal of the Martyrs Coptic Orthodox Church, located in West Palm Beach, FL. H.G. Bishop Youssef, with the presence of H.G. Bishop Serapion and H.G. Bishop Maximous, ordained him priest on January 3, 2010. Fr. Tadros has been serving within the Diocese of the Southern United States since January 3, 2010. We pray that the Lord will continue blessing his service.
